We are now seeking an Assistant Buyer to join our procurement team and help ensure our materials are purchased efficiently, cost-effectively and on time. You will work closely with the Purchasing Manager and the wider team to manage the flow of materials into the business. From liaising with suppliers to keeping our systems accurate, you will play an essential part in keeping production running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with suppliers to place orders, ensuring competitive prices and timely delivery to adhere to set budgets. Maintaining list of Purchase requisitions and purchase orders in the system to ensure all open orders are up to date with correct confirmation dates. Streamline and consolidate the purchasing process to achieve maximum economic benefit. Managing supplier stock sheets. Inform other departments of all relevant information regarding changes in materials, major price movements, delivery lead times and individual supply situations. Supporting the finance function with outstanding invoices, ensuring timely order input and receipt to maintain supplier payments. Involvement in any other tasks as reasonably defined by the business.
