Henry's Smokehouse in Greenhalgh, Preston, is looking for a Front of House Server ready to take the leap into a Supervisor role, leading the floor with confidence and hosting unforgettable events, especially over busy weekends.
What You'll Do:
* Take Charge of the Floor: Own the front of house, ensuring every guest leaves with a smile, whether you're flying solo during quieter shifts or leading the team during peak times.
* Deliver Exceptional Standards: Maintain the highest service and presentation standards, even under pressure, ensuring Henry's Smokehouse remains a cut above.
* Host with Perfection: Shine as an events superstar, particularly on weekends, creating memorable experiences for guests at private functions and busy services.
* Open & Close with Precision: Follow structured checklists to open and close the venue, keeping operations smooth and standards impeccable.
* Communicate Like a Pro: Work closely with the owners, providing clear updates to ensure seamless shifts and a tight-knit team vibe.
* Hands-On Leadership: Stay actively involved in service, leading by example while training and inspiring the team to deliver the best.

* Bar experience is a bonus but not essential – we'll provide full training to master the intricacies of our unique smokehouse pub and grill.

Henry's Smokehouse, Pub & Grill - Time to start Smoking
Responsibilities
* Supervise front of house operations to ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
* Train, mentor, and manage staff, promoting a cohesive team environment.
* Oversee food preparation and presentation to guarantee quality and adherence to safety regulations.
* Assist in food production as needed, ensuring all dishes meet the restaurant's standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations.
* Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service and efficient workflow.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
* FESTIVE SUPERSTAR - Yep it's that time of year so we need someone to help plan all things festive during the holiday season
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a supervisory or key role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
