GSL Education are seeking a passionate PE Teacher to join a school in Ilkeston. This role provides the chance to deliver exciting, high-quality physical education lessons while creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging sporting environment.
Role Overview:
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver lessons that help pupils develop their physical skills, confidence, and understanding of health and fitness. You’ll encourage participation in sport, promote teamwork and resilience, and instil a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
As a PE Teacher, you will:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver PE lessons across different age groups and abilities.
* Promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among pupils.
* Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the PE curriculum and extracurricular activities.
* Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for PE Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching PE across primary or secondary age groups.
* Strong knowledge of physical education curriculum and teaching strategies.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
