SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary (Supply)

Pay: £88–£110 per day (PAYE)

Do you have a calm, caring approach and a knack for bringing out the best in every child?
We’re looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Bradford, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
You’ll be working with children with autism, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour – some verbal, some non-verbal – helping them access learning and feel safe, supported, and understood.
Every day will be different, but your impact will be constant.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing 1:1 classroom support to pupils with a range of SEND needs
2. Helping children engage with learning and social interaction
3. Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
4. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create a nurturing environment
5. Using patience, empathy, and consistency to build trust and confidence
What we’re looking for:
6. Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school, care, or community settings)
7. A calm, resilient, and flexible approach to every challenge
8. Confidence supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. A passion for making a difference in every child’s day
