Temporary Finance Assistant - Basingstoke Location: Basingstoke (Office-based) Type: Temporary Contract Start Date: Immediate Interview Date: Week commencing 15 September 2025 We're recruiting for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support the Finance Director across a broad range of finance functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy team and contribute to key financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Issue accurate client invoices by the 5th of each month Weekly credit control and client communications Process purchase invoices, petty cash, and staff expenses Reconcile multicurrency bank accounts and credit cards Support VAT and EC submissions Liaise with suppliers, request quotes, and place orders Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting Maintain digital records and minimise paper filing Support general office management to ensure smooth operationsAbout You: 2-5 years of relevant finance experience Ideally studying towards an accountancy qualification Strong organisational and time management skills Confident using Xero and familiar with accounting practices Able to work independently and meet deadlinesIf you're ready to bring your finance skills to a dynamic team and make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
