As a Housing Professional Trainee, you will undertake a demanding training and study programme over 24 months, with 4 days of work experience and 1 day’s attendance at university during the academic year. You will study towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing Studies, as well as gaining experience across the Housing Service, with placements in the following teams: Income, Poverty & Private Housing Housing Access & Homelessness Housing Estates & Safer Communities Housing Health & Social Care Housing Operations & Regeneration Housing Supply & Condition The Person We are seeking enthusiastic graduates to join the Housing Service. We are looking for people who can empathise with our customers, and who can demonstrate inter-personal, team working and coping skills to deliver the best service to our tenants. Educated to SCQF level 9, which includes a Degree or equivalent Interest in the work of Housing Ability to use own initiative and work to deadlines Experience of data collection and analysis Research & problem-solving skills Ability to produce high quality written work Ability to use MS Windows based packages Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to operate effectively to deadlines Ability to travel within Fife as appropriate You will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure for this role. There may be opportunities for blended working, with a mix of office and home working once initial training has been completed.
