Position: Paraplanner (Cardiff Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year (depending on experience)
About the Firm:
A fast-growing and well-established financial services practice with offices across the UK, currently expanding through both organic growth and acquisitions. The Cardiff office is looking to add a skilled and motivated Paraplanner to support its team of Financial Planners and help deliver high-quality client outcomes.
Role Overview:
As a Paraplanner, youll work closely with Financial Advisers to provide high-level technical and administrative support across the full financial planning process. Youll be responsible for producing accurate and compliant suitability reports, conducting in-depth research and analysis, and helping prepare for client meetings and annual reviews.
Youll also assist in maintaining back-office records and ensure all work is aligned with internal procedures, FCA regulations, and client expectations. This role is ideal for someone with solid paraplanning experience who is looking to grow within a supportive, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Writing suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning
2. Conducting fund and product research
3. Supporting advisers with pre- and post-meeting preparation
4. Updating and maintaining client records and back-office systems
5. Ensuring compliance with internal and FCA regulations
6. Assisting with the preparation of annual review documentation
7. Liaising with product providers, compliance teams, and internal stakeholders as needed
Experience Required:
8. Minimum 2 years of paraplanning experience in a financial planning or IFA environment
9. Level 4 Diploma qualified (or working towards)
10. Strong knowledge of financial planning products, platforms, and regulatory requirements
11. Excellent written communication and analytical skills
12. Experience with Intelligent Office or similar systems is an advantage
Working Arrangement:
Hybrid working model, typically 3 days per week in the Cardiff office, with flexibility based on team needs and client schedules.
