Job Title: Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Company Overview: Our client is an ambitious neobank operating in digital payments, offering card-based financial services through a scalable SaaS infrastructure. We seek a commercially minded Interim CFO to lead finance, fundraising, and global financial operations during a pivotal growth phase.
Role Overview: The Interim CFO will be a key leadership team member, overseeing financial direction, investor relations during fundraising, and ensuring financial governance. Experience in card payments, fintech, or banking SaaS startups, with management experience across Europe and the US, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fundraising & Investor Relations: Lead fundraising efforts, prepare financial models, investor materials, and support data room readiness. Act as primary finance contact for investors and coordinate with legal and advisors.
* Strategic Financial Management: Collaborate on financial strategy, provide decision-making insights, and lead scenario planning and forecasting.
* Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee daily financial operations, ensure compliance with standards (UK GAAP, IFRS), and coordinate audits and regulatory compliance.
* Team Leadership & International Coordination: Lead and mentor finance team, coordinate with teams across Europe and the US, and support building the finance function for growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven CFO/Finance Director experience in fintech, card payments, or SaaS banking.
* Deep understanding of payments, revenue recognition, and fintech regulation.
* Experience with fundraising at Series A/B or similar stages.
* International experience working with US and European teams and investors.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Qualified accountant preferred but not essential if experience is sufficient.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
