Finance Assistant (Part-Time) – Leicester

We’re working with a not-for-profit organisation in Leicester that’s on the lookout for a Finance Assistant to join their small but dedicated team.
This is a part-time opportunity (20–21 hours per week) where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and play a key role in producing accurate monthly management accounts. What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the go-to person for all things finance, working closely with the Head of Finance & Operations. Expect to get involved with:
* Managing the day-to-day financial admin: payments, receipts, reconciliations, and banking.
* Processing invoices, expenses, and payments through Sage 50c.
* Keeping financial spreadsheets and databases up to date.
* Producing reports, assisting with monthly management accounts, and supporting year-end prep.
* Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to keep everything running smoothly.
What we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you can tick most of the following boxes:
* AAT Level 3 qualified and confident using Sage 50c.
* Solid experience in a finance support role, ideally within an SME, charity, or not-for-profit organisation.
* Comfortable juggling multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.
* A confident Excel user with good all-round Microsoft Office skills.
* Knowledge of partial exemption VAT, CRM or payment Stripe would be a bonus — but not essential.
* A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
