Site based Engineer primarily based on a secure site at Samlesbury, with support required as ad-hoc for other local sites (i.e. Warton and Preston).

Main responsibilities:
As an Analyst, you will be supporting the onsite client with desk side support including:


Carrying out Security Audits of all devices holding Data on the network by Scanning and reporting
IMAC’s – Installations, Moves, Additions and Changes
Break-Fix of all in-scope managed devices
Hands and Eyes Support to visually verify the state of managed devices such as servers and network devices
Desktop Support including special project activities as they arise
Supporting the client through project managed tasks – mix of onsite and remote work.

Asset Management & Stock Management
Managing the lifecycle of loan user equipment
Working directly alongside the client managing own workload whilst liaising with other teams or vendors to resolution
Act as a central point of contact for the customer
Software and system fault diagnosis, analysis and fix
Take responsibility for stock used and follow the correct procedures regarding stock management
Proactively keeping the customer updated with problem status at all times
Identifying and reporting risk as appropriate in accordance with the guidelines

This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5-hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00; hours will be agreed at a later time with site lead.

Working as part of the DXC team you will gain access to a large library of training courses and accreditations to help further your skills and development.

Due to the nature of our client's work the successful candidate will need to either hold or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance. For this reason we are only able to progress with applications from British nationals with no dual nationality.

This role is primarily site based at Samlesbury, but will involve support for supported sites such within the vicinity such as Warton and Preston. Travel for these sites will be paid travel and driven based on service.


As an Analyst, you will be supporting the onsite client with desk side support including (not limiting to):


Acting as the face of the company onsite, providing support directly with the customer

Manage sites as a team as well as carrying out individual responsibilities

Being open to learning and multitasking is a positive

Shows confidence in supporting the customer in more than one form of support (In person, over the phone, remotely – via Tech Bar Support Sessions).

Essential Skills

Must have, or be able to obtain UK GOV Security Clearance at SC level
Full, clean UK Driving License
Proven trouble shooting skills
Previous experience in a similar role with ITIL environment
PC/Desktop Support knowledge including Microsoft Windows 10/11 onwards

Knowledge and awareness of M365
Excellent communicator both face-to-face & over the phone
Administering Windows Share\File permissions.
Mobile connectivity (E.g. Android/IPhone)
Knowledge of SCCM
Confident break fix knowledge of HP Workstation, Desktops & Laptops
Must be able to deal productively with a high workload with minimal supervision
