Overview
A vacancy at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Applications are invited for the role of a Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics (Upper Limb).
Responsibilities
* Provide elective and trauma commitments in upper limb surgery, including complex wrist reconstruction.
* Participate in a job plan with fixed and flexible elements, including a fixed Monday trauma list and some fixed clinic sessions.
* Engage in elective theatre, primarily at the CDSU, with dedicated planned theatre time for elective upper limb surgery.
* Conduct regular day surgery lists at Castle Hill Hospital and potentially an inpatient theatre list at Castle Hill Hospital.
* There may be opportunities to run theatre lists at Goole District Hospital as the trust develops a HVLC elective hub.
* Run elective clinic sessions at Castle Hill Hospital (CHH) or Hull Royal Infirmary (HRI).
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential that the applicant has undergone advanced training in upper limb surgery, including hand and wrist surgery and complex wrist reconstruction.
* Fellowship training is ideally desired.
