Senior Associate – Retail Banking – London The Consultant will be a self-starter, providing critical support across Supervision around firm supervision, regulatory coordination, and governance reporting. The team sits within Retail Banking Directorate making impactful and proportionate interventions in large retail banks with a goal to ensure these firms operate effectively and efficiently for consumers whilst promoting growth and innovation. Role details: Regulatory support the Change in Control (CiC) decision making process as per FSMA criteria in the application and post during and after change in control applications. Ongoing supervision of firms. Leading on the planning and delivery of a project, facilitating workshops, shaping up workplans, managing timelines aligned with PRA and firm plans, note taking of crucial meetings, maintaining compliant records, reviewing change in control applications, and preparing internal briefings for senior decision-makers. The role also involves stakeholder engagement with PRA, FCA Legal, Authorisations, and operational teams.Essential 7–10 years' experience regulating or working with financial services firms in an FCA retail banking priority areas. Experience of leading projects. Knowledge of Change in Control regime of FSMA for Retail Banks. Strong written communication skills and experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior management and stakeholders internally and externally Experience working in an analytical role to reach sound judgements quickly and clearly from a broad and varied range of information Proven ability to balance and manage competing priorities, with factors often outside of your control Ability to manage work with minimal oversight Additional details: Hybrid working – Minimum 3 days onsite, London based Umbrella contract – 7 months
