We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the team and lead the marketing strategy and campaign delivery for FIT Show. We are looking for an experienced exhibition marketer already operating at Marketing Manager level, with strong campaign management and stakeholder management.
FIT Show is the UK’s leading trade event for the window, door, flat glass, hardware and roofing industry, bringing together thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors from across the sector. The event plays a key role within Montgomery Group’s portfolio and continues to grow both commercially and strategically.
Reporting into the Marketing Director, this role will be responsible for driving high-quality visitor attendance and exhibitor ROI through effective multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, website, social media, PPC, partnerships and content.
Collaboration is a key part of the role, working closely with marketing, sales, content, operations and data teams, alongside external partners and the wider industry, to deliver commercially successful campaigns and an outstanding event experience.
Key responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, implement & monitor marketing communication activities to ensure deadlines are met within budget and in-line with the event marketing goals.
* Achieve visitor acquisition targets for the event and brand.
* Work closely with the digital agency to maximise customer acquisition and lead generation through paid search, display and paid social campaigns.
* Manage and support junior members of the marketing team, helping develop skills, confidence and campaign delivery.
* Be responsible for evaluating campaigns and making future recommendations.
* Support website tracking to improve reporting and analysis abilities.
* Manage and optimise website content and user journeys to support visitor acquisition and conversion.
* Act as brand champion, ensuring adoption of best practice.
* Track industry and marketing developments, reporting findings to all stakeholders.
* Track and report regularly on campaign performance across digital, social, PPC/SEO, partnerships and visitor acquisition activity, identifying successes and opportunities for improvement.
* Manage and track agreed marketing spend for the brand.
* Maintain clear oversight of all campaign activity and delivery stages to ensure smooth and effective execution.
* Work closely with the Event Manager and wider event team to support campaign delivery, commercial objectives and strategic event growth.
* Work closely with the sales team to support exhibitor acquisition, retention and lead generation opportunities.
* Use campaign performance, audience insights and market data to continuously optimise marketing activity and drive commercial results.
* Work with Data Team to optimise the health and performance of both visitor and exhibitor databases,including new data builds, warm upcampaignsandgrowth areas.
Skills
* Previous B2B exhibition or event marketing experience is essential.
* A strong understanding of digital systems, best practices, and measurement tools.
* Comprehensive knowledge of how to use and write copy for digital platforms.
* Good experience of using digital platforms to build emails, website pages etc.
* Ability to deliver quality work in a fast paced, high-volume, deadline driven environment.
* Capable of managing a full campaign from start to finish.
* Confident in managing multiple projects under tight deadlines and accommodating rapid changes.
* Ability to multitask numerous projects throughout the event cycle.
* A team player that is happy to collaborate on projects with others.
* Great time management and organisational skills.
* Strong marketing experience working on a multifaceted campaign covering all elements of the marketing mix.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
* Confident communicator in all mediums – written, face‑to‑face & on the phone.
* Strong Microsoft Office Skills required.
* Creatively minded with a passion for discovering new ways to approach the marketing requirements of the events.
The central London, dog friendly offices are close to the bustle of Oxford Street & Marylebone High Street with access to the private gardens in Manchester Square. Hybrid working is offered to all applicants with a minimum of at least 3 days in the office, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Core hours are 9-5pm, flexibility outside these hours will be required to suit the needs of the business.
