Overview
To work as a member of the team delivering a high-quality MRI service within Radiology. The service comprises scanners located at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield; Dewsbury & District Hospital; Pontefract General Infirmary and the new Wakefield Community Diagnostic Centre.
To carry out administration duties in a manner that supports departmental targets and ensures compliance with standard operating procedures. To undertake administrative and patient care duties to enable a patient focussed service. The post holder is required to rotate across administrative and patient care functions. The postholder is required to keep confidential all information and documentation relating to either a patient, a member of staff or service business, which he/she comes into contact with. All staff are expected to respect the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998, as this incorporates the need for a high standard of data quality, confidentiality and information security.
We are a four-site trust with locations at Pinderfields Hospital (Wakefield), Pontefract Hospital, Dewsbury & District Hospital, and the Wakefield Community Diagnostic Centre. As part of your role you will be required to work across all four sites on a rota basis covering long days, weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
* Carry out administrative duties to support departmental targets and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
* Undertake administrative and patient care duties to enable a patient focussed service.
* Rotate across administrative and patient care functions as required.
* Protect confidentiality of information and documentation relating to patients, staff and service operations; adhere to data protection and information security requirements.
* Demonstrate good team membership skills, act diplomatically in sensitive situations involving patients or staff, be punctual and follow instructions accurately.
