Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite, with the successful candidate expected to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.
The Role: We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronics systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will design, develop, and optimize solutions to address challenging technical and engineering obstacles, significantly contributing to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do:
* Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing applications.
* Create detailed system architectures and specifications meeting or exceeding product requirements.
* Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
* Liaise with external suppliers, evaluate, and select appropriate components and technologies.
* Conduct system-level testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
* Oversee delivery of prototypes and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, firmware/software integration, and testing.
* Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and presentations to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a proven track record.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration; experience with multidisciplinary system design.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
* Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
* Experience with automotive, motorsports, and aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Expertise in CAD and mechanical design, control systems, and theory.
