The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the bar and events. You'll play a key role in leading the team, ensuring smooth operations during busy shifts, and helping maintain our high standards of service, compliance, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the daily operation of the bar and kitchen, ensuring smooth service from open to close.
* Lead and motivate front-of-house and bar staff during shifts, particularly on busy weekends.
* Deliver exceptional customer service, handling guest enquiries and resolving issues quickly.
* Support with stock management, ordering, and supplier relationships.
* Oversee cash handling, tills, and end-of-day reports.
* Ensure all health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing laws are followed.
* Help train, coach, and develop team members to maintain a positive workplace culture.
* Act as Duty Manager in the absence of the General Manager.
About You
* Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in hospitality (bar/restaurant experience essential).
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Hands-on, proactive, and confident running a busy service.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of stock control, cash handling, and compliance procedures.
* Flexible and reliable – must be able to work late nights on weekends.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.90-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
