We're working exclusively with one of the UK’s leading bulk annuity providers on a number of exciting opportunities for experienced DB pensions administrators in their Onboarding Calculations Team (OCT)
Why join this team?
This isn’t just another pensions admin role. It's an opportunity to be part of the largest and most established in-house Client Services function in the BPA market.
Our client is onboarding some of the largest DB pension schemes in the UK market — and investing in building internal expertise to make sure every member and client has a first-class experience.
This team is a highly technical and visible part of the pension risk transfer business, and the work is varied and interesting, offering exposure to a range of schemes in terms of size and complexity.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing technical oversight and checking Defined Benefit (DB) quotations
* Supporting scheme onboarding and transition projects, including GMP and other complex benefit structures
* Leading process improvements and contributing to a major transformation programme across Client Services
* Coaching and developing colleagues, helping to grow actuarial and technical capability within the team
* Building relationships with clients, TPAs and scheme actuaries to make sure members get the right outcomes
What we’re looking for
* Pension qualification (CII/PMI) or equivalent DB scheme experience
* Strong knowledge of DB pension structures, manual calculations and complex benefits
* Ability to balance technical problem-solving with stakeholder engagement
* People-focused – confident supporting and coaching colleagues
* Comfortable managing tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
What’s in it for you?
* Opportunity to work on the largest BPA schemes in the UK market and support multi-billion pound transactions
* Career development – clear pathways upwards and across the wider business
* Involvement in transformation and system development, not just day-to-day admin
* A collaborative, inclusive culture with flexibility and support for progression
* Competitive package: bonus, generous pension, healthcare, family leave, share schemes and more
Roles are based in central Glasgow on a hybrid-working basis.
Our client offers a supportive, inclusive culture where your skills and ideas are valued. They'll support your career development and wellbeing, and offer flexible working options so you can succeed in a way that works for you.
