With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, there will be no change in full time pay.


We have a vacancy for an experienced and highly skilled occupational therapist to join the psychiatry of old age service in Angus.


With a BSc in Occupational Therapy, you will have evidence of continuing professional development along with extensive post qualification experience, including experience working with older people with mental health problems, both functional and organic.


We have recently reviewed the Occupational Therapy structure in Psychiatry of Old Age; this highlighted the importance of the AHP clinical governance and assurance processes which led to the creation of this band 7 post to provide leadership to other OT staff and to support the development of the team. The post holder will be required to work across inpatient and community mental health teams in Angus and to participate in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of older adults experiencing mental illness.


In return you will be offered a unique opportunity to work within a joint team, have access to regular and supportive clinical supervision, appraisal and personal development.


Hours of work are 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 Months. Please note that the working hours will reduce to 36 hours per week when to the reduction of working week hours is introduced in April 2026.
