We have a fantastic opportunity at Cwm Taf Morgannwg for an Administration Support Officer for Safeguarding & Public Protection. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the DoLS team.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills to join our small team. The post holder must be able to work in a challenging environment and have a sensitive, caring, and non-judgmental attitude.
The post holder will work within a specific team but should be flexible to work across the service as needed.
Previous experience in a multiagency setting is ideally preferred.
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will follow standard operating procedures to provide comprehensive, professional, and effective administrative support to the Safeguarding & Public Protection Team.
Responsibilities include maintaining databases, ensuring information accuracy, supporting training coordination, managing diaries, and providing general administrative assistance to ensure smooth team operations.

The post holder will:
* Be the first point of contact for calls from the public, staff, and agencies including Local Authority, Police, Education, and families/carers.
* Handle sensitive information with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
* Respond to routine queries and escalate complex issues appropriately.
* Support administrative functions for the team, managing workloads and prioritising tasks.
* Ensure accurate data entry into databases and spreadsheets, meeting deadlines.
* Assist in preparing reports and coordinating training sessions.
* Manage team diaries, meetings, and minutes, working proactively and independently.
