Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Employment Skills Practitioner on a fixed term appointment, ending 31st March 2025. This is to support the Wellbeing Recovery Employment Service (WRES) project, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
The East Riding of Yorkshire has been allocated £ million through the UKSPF to cover the period from April 2022 to March 2025 and £ through the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) to cover the period from April 2023 to March 2025.
The project is being managed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council with Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust as a project delivery partner. The project funding is for the delivery of year 3 of the UKSPF for the 'People and Skills' grant, to deliver on the following investment areas:
1. Support for the unemployed
2. Skills support for the workforce
The project is due to complete 31st March 2025 and to achieve the aims and objectives we are looking to recruit a team of people to deliver the project outcomes.
WRES will provide support to individuals, aged 16+, to engage or re-engage in employment through skills development workshops and job search support and advice .
The successful candidates need to be forward thinking, innovative and able to work under posts involve developing connections both internally and externally and building networks with local organisations. Regular reporting is required.
This role is a fixed-term or secondment opportunity and is funded by the UKSPF
Main duties of the job
Humber Wellbeing and Recovery College is a collaborative, educational learning environment which aims to convey messages of hope, empowerment and opportunity to all. It celebrates strengths and successes rather than highlighting deficits or problems. The Practitioner role in the Recovery & Wellbeing College would primarily focus on delivering employment and basic skills training within the Humber Teaching Foundation NHS Trust Practitioner role:-
is responsible for the delivery of Open Day/ Registration events and wouldbe expected to also meet with students on a 1:1 basis if as a role model of recovery within the college and be able to sharetheir own lived experience with the students in an appropriate a lead in the co-production of course development and compilinglesson plans and presentations. This includes production of online content,and face to face content.

3. Intermediate Level Theoretical Knowledge or equivalent experience.
