About the Role

As a Level 2 Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced staff to support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and age groups. You will:

Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities

Support pupils individually or in small groups

Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs or English as an additional language

Take part in training and reflective learning as part of your apprenticeship programme

You’ll receive mentoring from experienced professionals and time to complete your studies towards theLevel 2 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship qualification.

What You Will Do

As a Level 2 Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the classroom teacher with the delivery of lessons and activities

Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and engagement

Assist with setting up learning resources and tidying the classroom

Provide support for pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum

Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment

Take part in staff meetings, training sessions, and reviews

Complete coursework and assessments for your apprenticeship programme with the support of a dedicated mentor and training provider

About You

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude

A commitment to learning and developing professionally

GCSEs in English and Maths (or willingness to work towards them)
