Commercial Finance Analyst - Catering Up to £37,500 12 month fixed term contract Toddington – Hybrid – 2 days in the office 37.5 hours Monday – Friday An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department where we are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Analyst. You will provide financial reporting, analysis and support to the Catering Teams and wider business. The Catering Analyst will partner with the Catering Brand Teams to provide them with insight and challenge, that will drive improved sales and margin performance What can I expect in return? 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Life assurance Up to 60% discount for you, your partner as well as your family and friends Enhanced benefits, including maternity, paternity, pension, sick pay and life assurance Fabulous training and development opportunities including funding qualifications You will be responsible for: Evaluate and analyse Brand Sales performance from a Site and Category performance perspective Provide analysis to measure the cash impact of different trading initiatives such as new promotions, pricing strategies and product mix changes to guide commercial decisions Collaboration with Retail Commercial Finance Analyst to evaluate impact on other brands Ensuring that decision making is supported with sound analysis and impacts are reviewed and evaluated Forecasting to reflect latest trading performance on the Sales and Cost of Sales P&L lines Supporting the Senior Commercial Finance Manager with the preparation of site sales budgets to support a bottom up approach Support investment appraisal of new Catering developments Control of Cost of Sales Process, to provide accuracy in the management accounts Support the period end process from a story telling perspective, helping the Business understand the “why” behind performance Support the Operations Teams with insight around margin and sales performance Ad hoc Analysis & Project work Continuous improvement of existing processes The candidate we are looking for will have: Part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or working towards Strong IT Skills, including advanced Excel Experience of process improvements Solid business partnering skills, including excellent communication skills and ability to work well across multiple functions and at all levels of the business Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritising as required and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly Great attention to detail Ready to find out more?
