The Role
AspenTech is seeking a Senior Principal Solution Consultant to support our account managers in growing our business and selling the aspenONE Engineering solutions, focusing on Energy (Oil & Gas or Refining). Experience in plant layout and piping is a plus. The role targets capital project execution in chemicals, refining, and EPC industry clients. Key traits include industry understanding, deep consultative skills, capital project execution, knowledge of AspenTech product strategy, and effective communication to technical and management audiences. The Senior Principal SC will work with clients to understand their challenges and initiatives, identify applications of our tools to address these issues, and collaborate with sales teams to drive adoption of our software solutions.
Your Impact
* Understand prospective clients' critical business issues to present AspenTech’s software as the best solution.
* Identify solutions to improve customer capital project outcomes based on technical and industry knowledge.
* Present management-level solution overviews.
* Analyze and present business benefit cases.
* Engage in technical product discussions.
* Manage and support awareness education campaigns via on-site and web platforms.
* Support software evaluations.
* Assist sales with short-term and strategic planning to build the sales pipeline.
What You'll Need
* BS in Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in EPC, Energy, or Chemical industries.
* Piping engineers with process engineering background are considered.
* Strong business acumen.
* Ability to manage discussions across technical contributors to VP level managers, identifying improvements.
