The Opportunity
Panoramic Associates are supporting a growing independent construction consultancy in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Cost Manager to join their team in Bristol.
This consultancy provides project management and cost management services across a diverse range of construction sectors, delivering projects from early concept through to completion. Their work spans commercial development, higher education, life sciences, industrial, hospitality, and major refurbishment schemes.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting clients with commercial management, cost planning, and procurement strategies, helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Role Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading cost management activities across a portfolio of construction projects
* Preparing cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
* Managing procurement strategies and tender processes
* Producing cost reports and advising clients on financial performance
* Administering construction contracts (NEC, JCT etc.)
* Managing risk, change control, and value engineering processes
* Supporting clients with commercial strategy and cost advice
* Working closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
* Mentoring junior team members where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate is likely to have:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager within a consultancy environment
* Experience working on construction or property development projects
* Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, and commercial management
* Experience administering JCT or NEC contracts
* Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Ideally working towards or already holding MRICS / professional accreditation
