Are you a structural designer with experience using Tekla in the marine and steel fabrication industry, looking to join a rapidly growing company who will continuously reinvest in developing your skills and progression?
This company are a multidisciplinary metalwork fabricator for the marine and construction industry. They work on large and small scale projects, prioritising quality to ensure the best service to their clients. Operating across the UK, they are a trusted fabricator for the residential and commercial sectors.
On offer is the opportunity to spearhead the in-house design department to become a vital asset to the growth of the business. You will be creating detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures, to ensure all components are accurately represented. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with the projects teams and conduct regular reviews of models to ensure all designs meet client expectations.
This role would suit an experienced Tekla designer in the marine or construction industry, looking to join a company that will reinvest in your career progression while offering a great work-life balance.
The Role:
* Develop detailed 3D models using Tekla
* Create and modify drawings for fabrication and construction, based on project specifications
* Collaborate across multiple project teams to ensure designs meet structural integrity and aesthetic requirements
* Conduct regular reviews of models to identify faults and areas of improvements
* Assist in the preparation of project documentation including BOM and instructions for assembly
* Utilise additional 3D modelling software such as Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, and Revit
The Person:
* Experience using Tekla is essential
* Strong understanding of structural engineering principles
* Full UK driving licence
