We are entering an exciting new phase of growth, with an extension underway that will increase our covers and significantly expand our kitchen facilities. For the first time, we will be introducing a fresh food offering. Creating a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Head Chef to help shape and lead this new chapter of our business.
Initially, the successful candidate will work closely with our established Head Chef from Arthur's Hoylake, using their proven menu as a foundation and template. This will provide strong operational support and consistency during launch. Over time, there will be the opportunity to develop your own menus, introduce your ideas, and take the food offering in your own direction.
This is more than a standard Head Chef role it is a chance to grow with the business, influence the culinary vision, and play a key role in taking us to the next level.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for kitchen operations, team leadership, and maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, safety, and service. You will oversee restaurant service, events, and catering while building a strong and motivated kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
* Deliver a high-quality, fresh food menu in line with our established template during the initial phase
* Gradually develop and refine the menu, bringing creativity and innovation as the operation evolves
* Oversee all food preparation to ensure consistency, presentation, and excellence
* Manage stock control, ordering, and food costings to maintain profitability and minimise waste
* Ensure full compliance with food safety legislation and hygiene standards
* Plan rotas and manage shifts to optimise efficiency and service quality
* Work closely with management and event organisers to create bespoke menus for functions and private events
* Train, mentor, and develop team members to build a positive and high-performing kitchen culture
About You
* Proven experience in a senior kitchen leadership role within a high-volume hospitality environment
* Strong background in fresh food production and menu development
* Confident managing kitchen operations, food costs, and stock control
* Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
* A hands-on leader who can build and motivate a team
* Creative, driven, and excited by the opportunity to develop and grow a food offering

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
