Walking For All Officer
Temporary, 37 hours per week, fixed term 36 months. Location: Antrim Civic Centre (may be required to work at any Council site).
Salary: £36,363 to £38,220 subject to Job Evaluation Review. +19% employer pension contribution.
Purpose of the role
Develop, coordinate and sustain regular volunteer‑led walks in towns, villages and rural communities throughout the Council area, through recruitment, training and support of Volunteer Walk Leaders to increase walking participation and meet objectives of the Walking for All programme.
Responsibilities
* Recruit, train and support Volunteer Walk Leaders.
* Coordinate volunteer‑led walks and secure volunteer resources.
* Develop written materials and promote walking programmes.
* Collate walking data and analyze results.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria as set out in the specification for the post. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
