Join Our Exceptional Stroke Unit Team; Experienced Healthcare Support Worker Wanted
We are seeking an experienced HCSW who brings compassion, initiative, and strong clinical skills. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering outstanding care and making a real difference to patient outcomes.
What we're looking for
* Completion of the National Care Certificate
* Confident and competent in ECG recording, Venepuncture and Cannulation
* Experience with Stroke Patients
* A team player with excellent communication and time management skills
You will need to be flexible and able to work a rotational shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. This post is advertised as Band 3, however applicants without the required care certificate competencies will be employed as Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3.
Main duties of the job
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, therefore you must be fully flexible across all shift patterns, including weekdays, weekends, nights and bank holidays.
As part of the selection process you will be required to complete a numeracy and literacy assessment alongside an interview.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education including numeracy and literacy GCSE
* Completion of the National Care Certificate
* NVQ level 3 in care
Experience
* Experience working with patients as a HCSW
* Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Experience working with Stroke Patients
Technical skills
* Venepuncture and cannulation
* ECGs
Knowledge
* Knowledge of when to seek advice and refer to a registered care professional
