Qualifications
Essential criteria
8. HND/B/Eng. or equivalent level of qualification and knowledge gained through several years experience within relevant electronics, engineering, communications fields. Additional post qualification training via manufacturer courses and experience.
Desirable criteria
9. Voluntary registration as a Clinical Technologist. ECDL or recognised IT competency qualification.
Experience
Essential criteria
10. relevant post qualification experience of Electronics, Mechanical, Communication servicing/repair.
Desirable criteria
11. Experience in a medical device related maintenance discipline.
12. Awareness of risk management protocols and current industry H&S standards.
Skills
Essential criteria
13. Ability to manoeuvre medium/heavy weights in varying locations.
14. Proficient with IT systems.
15. Good interpersonal communication skills both written/verbal.
16. Ability to solder/desolder equipment parts of a miniature nature.
17. Physical accuracy with good dexterity and manipulation of fine precision tools which demands accuracy and consistency.
18. Excellent customer care skills.
Knowledge

19. A comprehensive knowledge of current analogue and digital electronic techniques.
20. A sound working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electro-mechanical applications.
21. Fully competent to use and understand the operation and calibration of diagnostic test equipment.
