We are recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the PR3 area of Preston. This rewarding role involves supporting multiple pupils across school with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and starts February 2026. About the Role As an SEN TA, you will provide tailored support to children with varying SEN diagnoses, helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the school environment. You will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and wider support team to deliver effective, compassionate support throughout the school day. Working hours: 8:45am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. What We’re Looking For Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable Applicants with experience supporting children or adults with additional needs in education, care, residential, health, or community settings are strongly encouraged to apply A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach Ability to adapt to the needs of different learners Strong communication and teamwork skills Enthusiasm for working in a primary school setting Key Responsibilities Supporting pupils with a variety of SEN needs across KS1 and KS2 Providing 1:1 and small-group interventions Helping pupils regulate emotions, remain engaged, and develop independence Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement support plans Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment Why Apply?
