Job Description:
We are recruiting for a brand new role of an IT Specialist to join a well-established manufacturing site in Teesside, providing hands-on IT support and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day IT operations. As the on-site IT Specialist, you will act as the first point of contact for technical issues, supporting users both locally and remotely across international locations.
This IT Specialist role will involve installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows-based hardware and software, maintaining Microsoft Office and application-specific systems, and supporting Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online. You will also assist with device management, security, and application deployment through Intune and Azure AD.
Working closely with a global IT team, the IT Specialist will help maintain IT standards, documentation, and asset management, while contributing to infrastructure upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. Network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and printers, will form part of your day-to-day responsibilities, alongside supporting security, CCTV, and access control systems (training provided).
This is a full-time, on-site IT Specialist position based in Teesside, with occasional out-of-hours support required to align with international teams.
Skills & Experience:

Experience in an IT support or IT operations role
*
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 environments
*
Experience supporting Teams, SharePoint, Azure AD, and Intune
*
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
*
Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience
*
Strong communication and customer service skills
*
Ability to document issues, solutions, and IT assets accurately
Desirable:

Experience with Cisco Meraki environments
*
Exposure to ERP or document management systems
*
Experience supporting multi-site or global teams
*
Relevant IT certifications (or working towards them)
