The Role
Start Date: September 2025
Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full academic year
No planning or marking required
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
1. Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
2. Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
3. Support students with independent learning and peer activities
4. Provide pastoral support and ensure a smooth handover to teaching staff

You'll be based in a successful 11-18 secondary academy located in Bolton.

Who We're Looking For
We're ideally looking for graduates with a strong academic background in Maths, Science, or Humanities, and good GCSEs (grades 6-9 / A*-C in English, Maths, and Science).
We welcome experience from:
8. Schools or colleges (., Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support roles)
9. Youth work or sports coaching
10. Scouts, Guides, church or community youth groups
11. Outdoor education, Duke of Edinburgh, or similar
Requirements
12. A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
13. Minimum of 6 weeks' experience working with young people aged 11-16 in the last 3 years
14. A referee who can confirm this experience
15. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
16. Full employment and education history on your CV
