We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Secretary who wishes to pivot into the finance side of their role.
We are looking for a Billing Coordinator to join a leading Top 50 law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract (with the possibility of a permanent position)
In this role, you'll support Partners and Fee Earners with the delivery of billing activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth end-to-end processes. You'll be the main point of contact for billing queries, manage WIP reviews, draft invoices, process write-offs, and collaborate with colleagues across finance and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, edit, and process client invoices.
* Manage billing queries, credit notes, and reconciliations.
* Support Partners with WIP management and reporting.
* Ensure billing compliance with internal policies and client protocols.
* Collaborate with finance, legal admin, and client teams to resolve issues quickly.
About You:
* A seasoned legal secretary looking to step into the billing / finance side of the business
* Billing experience within a law firm of a minimum of 2 years is essential
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
* Previous billing or finance experience (professional services or legal environment preferred).
* Knowledge of billing/finance systems (SAP, e-billing platforms, etc.) is a plus.
