Management Accountant | London | Odgers Executive Search The Finance team at Odgers plays a central role in supporting the firm’s executive search and advisory work. They partner closely with consultants and business leaders to manage billing, revenues, costs, and financial reporting, while ensuring strong controls, compliance, and commercial insight across the business. The team provides clear, accurate information that helps the firm operate efficiently, make informed decisions, and deliver an excellent service to clients. We are looking to appoint a Management Accountant who will report to and collaborate closely with the UK Finance Director, along with the Financial Controllers in the UK and Asia Pacific. Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts Liaising with overseas finance functions Consolidation of overseas businesses into results Review and analysis of variances from the budget Preparation and posting of monthly journals including accruals and prepayments Day-to-day support for other finance staff Bank payments review and authorisation Preparation of year-end files for auditors Support annual budget and forecasting processes Preparation of annual financial statements Preparation of accounts and financial statements for subsidiary companies Inter-company reconciliations Liaison with tax advisors on corporation tax Preparation of VAT return and other statutory filings Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation Support the Financial Controller and team where required The Individual You don't have to have management accountant qualifications if you have substantial experience across the listed responsibilities. You will have good knowledge of accounting frameworks and ideally come from a small to medium-sized, fast-paced professional services business where you have gained exposure across many aspects of the accounting function. You need to understand the regulatory framework, and knowledge of Sun accounting systems would be advantageous, as would experience in an international business with both UK and overseas trading entities would be advantageous. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
