Job Title: Scanning Operator/Team Leader
Our client, a leading medical records warehouse at a renowned hospital in Bedford, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Scanning Operator/Team Leader to join their dynamic team. This is a temporary, full-time position with an immediate start, working 2pm-10pm, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently scan and prepare medical records, ensuring the correct batch header sheets or 'intelligent bar codes' are used, following guidelines.
2. Operate high-resolution scanners to meet quality standards, ensuring all scanned images are of good quality.
3. Monitor the quality of scanned images and make necessary amendments.
4. Collect event notes according to priority and scan receipt schedules.
5. Maintain and clean scanning devices regularly, reporting issues promptly.
6. Complete quality assurance processes as per standards.
7. Assist with inquiries and support new staff members.
8. Participate in mandatory training to uphold service standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Sensitivity and experience in handling medical records.
* Understanding of case note structures and documentation policies.
* IT literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Willingness to undergo training for operating high-resolution and handheld scanners.
Additional Responsibilities:
As a Team Leader, you will also be responsible for training new staff, monitoring productivity, addressing quality issues, and managing workflow. Prior experience in a team leader role is essential.
