About The Opportunity
The Jacobs Cities & Places (C&P) team creates thriving places—from regions and cities to neighbourhoods, communities and individual buildings—through an integrated design approach. We are building an interdisciplinary planning, design and delivery practice that is uniquely Jacobs and is home to design thinkers, disruptors, technical experts and storytellers. Our business unit brings together engineers, architects, surveyors, designers, place-makers, project managers and transport planners to deliver collaborative value design solutions for clients both domestically and internationally.
We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our busy Building Structures team in Manchester, working on diverse and challenging projects for clients such as Heathrow Airport, London Underground, National Grid and advanced technology organisations including pharmaceutical laboratories and microelectronics manufacturing. The start date is September 2026.
What you’ll need
* Be working towards a Master’s level qualification in Civil Engineering
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
