Job summary
We are seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, who has registered, or is committed to registering( we are happy to support), for the MSc in Advanced Practice qualification or has completed that MSc. Must be an independent non-medical are also happy to consider a Prescribing nurse with other qualifications and able to work in the role of seeing patients with undiagnosed conditions independently but must have this experience in Primary are or accident and emergency department.
To work with the Practice Team in providing patient-focussedcare responsive to the health needs of our patients.
To assess patients health care needs and manage a caseloadof patients, for treatment, referral, admitting and discharging patients asappropriate.
To make judgements involving complex facts and/or situations,which require analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options,which could be complex and made up of several conflicting components and whereexpert opinion may differ or not all information is available INDEPENDENTLY.
To ordering investigations, follow up results and arrangeappropriate management including seeking advice where appropriate.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a ANP to join our practice in the Doncaster area. Experience of working within Primary Care or Accident and emergency is mandatory.
Trainee Msc ANPs would be considered and be are happy to consider a nurse prescriber with other qualifications but able to work independently to mange case load in Primary care through experience.
This would include independently assessing all patients booked for their health needs - acute illness & chronic conditions, adults and children.
Must be comfortable to be part of the weekly GP on call Rota & if need be able to undertake home visits. Basic nursing skills such as Baby vaccinations, adult vaccinations & Cervical smear skills is mandatory

Experience
Essential
1. Experience of working in primary care or A&E.
Qualifications
Essential
2. Degree or equivalent in Nursing and on NMC register.
3. Must be an independent non-medical prescriber.
4. Experience of independently dealing with day to day illness in primary care, community or in Accident and emergency.
5. Must have knowledge of chronic disease management and prescribing plus able to manage undiagnosed acute illness presentation.
Desirable
6. Currently registered, or committed to registering, for the MSc in Advanced Practice qualification or qualified with a Msc, but those prescribers with experience will also be considered.
