-Do you have experience as an AHU Applications Engineer or estimator with a strong understanding of ventilation systems or Air handling unit components? This is a hybrid mix of home/office based, being in their Worcestershire office 2 or 3 days per week and this position sits in the intersection of technical design and commercial delivery. Offering up to £35k basic, plus other benefits, with a career pathway that could lead to Field sales in time.
THE ROLE
* Due to growth, our client, who deliver complete Air handling solutions across refurbishment, retrofit and bespoke new build projects, spanning the commercial, healthcare, retail and industrial sectors are looking for an AHU Applications Engineer, Estimator, to join this growing business.
* Your role will sit in the intersection of technical design and commercial delivery, where you'll produce accurate and competitive Air Handling unit selections and quotations across new build and refurbishment projects.
* You'll work closely with the sales and operations team, as well as fan, coils and filter suppliers, providing accurate technical drawings for the manufacturing of the Air Handling system, the assembly and the client approval.
* You will create 2D and 3D models and CAD design and produce and review CAD layouts for new build AHUs to ensure design accuracy and its manufacturability.
* As Estimator you'll interpret technical specifications and drawings, typically using Ziehl, Three T or ERI software.
* You'll also assist in preparing proposals aligned with client expectations and budgets.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
* The successful AHU Applications Engineer / Estimator will have experience in the fans, ventilation, air handling, HVAC sector with a good technical appreciation.
* You will have a strong understanding of ventilation systems and AHU components,
* You'll have the ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and tender documents, with commercial awareness and good communication skills.
* Ideally experience of Hubspot CRM, as well as Ziehl, Three T or ERI software.
* This will suit someone currently working for an HVAC manufacturer, or with commercial HVAC estimating experience or technical sales support experience, looking to grow their career with an ambitious, growing AHU solutions provider.
