SOMETHING ABOUT ME
I’m an 18 year old girl living in Llanharan with my parents. I enjoy listening to music especially musicals and songs from Mama Mia and I love listening to songs by The Killers. Other interests include making arts and crafts; I have a keen interest in technology, phone apps and design apps. I am a very sociable girl and enjoy other people’s company and don’t like being on my own. When out in the community I enjoy shopping, going to the cinema and playing ten-pin bowling. When in the house I enjoy baking, watching tv and playing board and card games. I am a full-time powerchair user.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To help and support me with all my physical and social needs, provide respite for my parents.
HOURS OF WORK
6.5 hours per week, flexibility is essential
Evenings, weekends and school holidays.
RATE OF PAY
£14.75 per hour
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
1. Hoisting/manual handling
2. Working alongside a second PA because I need 2:1 support
3. Toileting including intimate care
4. Helping me with my physical needs
5. Ensuring I am comfortable when using my wheelchair etc
6. To support me to do things I enjoy doing
7. Take me out to do things I enjoy doing
8. Feeding (mickey feed)
9. Plan and organise what activities I will be doing each week
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
10. Females preferred due to some personal care
11. Outgoing and chatty
12. Being able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
13. Patient and understanding of my needs
14. Experience of looking after children
15. Organised and able to plan my schedule for me
