Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.20 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Role Summary
As Residential Team Leader, you'll lead and support a team of care staff across early mornings, evenings, and occasional sleep-ins. Your role includes:
* Deputising for the home manager and ensuring implementation of care standards and Statements of Purpose.
* Managing staff rotas, supervising care delivery, and facilitating engaging life skills and educational activities.
* Ensuring accurate record-keeping, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, and fostering a supportive, family-like atmosphere.
About the Home
* A small, nurturing residential setting for up to 30 young people aged 8–19, many with autism and complex needs.
* Purpose-built accommodation with communal lounges, sensory integration rooms, a life-skills kitchen, garden/play areas, and supportive 24/7 care.
* Emphasis on creating a “home from home” where pupils feel safe, valued and encouraged to grow.
* Full-time (40 hours/week) with a flexible rota system covering early starts to late finishes, weekends, holidays, and sleep-ins.
* Work on a rolling rota with advance notice, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Person Specification
* Proven experience in a children’s residential setting; experience leading a team is highly desirable.
* Recognised NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve). Level 5/leadership qualifications advantageous.
* Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide professional references per safer recruitment guidelines.
* Flexible, compassionate, reliable, and calm under pressure with strong communication and organisational skills.
