Job Title: Infrastructure Administrator (Wintel)

Role Purpose
We are currently looking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Administrator to join our IT Support team on a permanent basis in Edinburgh. The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to Royal London colleagues for all hardware and software across the group.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing professional IT 2nd line support to all Royal London colleagues via our Incident and Service Request processes.
* Supporting both hardware and software across the group.
* Proactively managing your own workload and work queue.
* Liaising with colleagues in the IT Service Desk & 3rd line Specialist teams to find solutions to problems and to share knowledge.
* Identifying opportunities for improvements in services and process enhancements to deliver the most efficient solutions.
* Supporting the delivery and implementation of projects.
Essential Criteria
* Previous experience working in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role supporting customers both in‑house and virtually.
* Experience of Microsoft technologies, including AD/Exchange/Teams/Office 365 and supporting Windows 10 & 11 clients.
* A good understanding of virtual and VC technologies.
* Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
* Enjoy providing excellent customer support.
* Enjoy problem solving with a positive approach to challenges.
Desirable Criteria
* Good understanding of automation of systems and processes.
* Good understanding of networks, monitoring, Unix & storage technologies.
