We are seeking a driven and professional Plant Controller to join a fast-paced and expanding Plant Department within a leading Engineering Firm. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in plant hire and management to play a key role in ensuring best practice and cost-efficiency across a large and modern fleet. Hours for the role are 7:30am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri. To be Considered for the Plant Controller role:
* Solid knowledge of plant and equipment
* Experience in plant hire, logistics, and haulage coordination
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Construction industry experience desirable
Key Responsibilities of the Plant Controller role:
* Coordinate and fulfil site plant requirements in line with delivery timelines
* Optimise use of owned plant and minimise reliance on external hire
* Liaise with suppliers to secure best cost and service
* Communicate effectively with site teams regarding equipment and delivery updates
* Assist in managing plant replacement, damage charges, and equipment queries
* Maintain supplier compliance with high standards of safety and quality
* Stay informed on new plant products and innovations
