This is a part time role:
Duties
* Prepare and cook delicious and visually appealing meals in a timely manner
* Help create and develop new menu items to keep the homes menu fresh and exciting
* Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
-Be aware of the 'Safer Food Better Business' policy advertised by the Food Standards Agency and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate.
-Fresh cakes and baking required as part of the remit.
- Collaborate with the Home manager to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
-Covering annual leave where required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a care home or similar culinary environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
