Our client is seeking a Clerical Officer to support a ground-breaking mentoring programme aimed at widening access to higher education for young learners. As part of the initiative, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the programme, which empowers learners aged 14-19 to achieve their potential through mentoring and guidance. Your responsibilities will include: Handling administrative tasks to support programme delivery Monitoring budgets, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines Supporting data collection, evaluation processes, and reporting activities Organising events and providing essential support to programme participants and staff Collaborating with project partners to maintain seamless communication and coordination We are keen to hear from you if you have the following: Previous experience in a similar clerical / administration-based role Essential: 5 GCSEs (Grades AC, including English and Maths) or equivalent experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail A confident communicator, fluent in both English and Welsh Experience with financial systems or working in higher education environments is desirable This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a meaningful project that makes a real difference to young people’s lives. While primarily based in Bangor, the role does offer some flexibility for occasional remote working to support a healthy work-life balance. This is a six-month, full time fixed term contract initially, working Monday – Friday 7.25 hours a day between 8.00 – 5.30. With an annual salary of £23,144 - £25,138 pro-rata depending on skills and experience.
