Job Title: NEC Housing Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Overview
A Local Authority is seeking an experienced NEC Housing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the optimisation, configuration, and ongoing development of the NEC Housing system. The role will act as the key functional expert across housing services, ensuring the system effectively supports operational processes across housing management, rents, repairs, and tenant services.
This role will work closely with Housing teams, IT, and third‑party suppliers to improve system usage, support transformation initiatives, and ensure the platform aligns with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the functional lead for NEC Housing, advising on configuration, processes, and best practice.
* Support housing teams (Rents, Allocations, Repairs, Tenancy Management) in system optimisation.
* Assist with upgrades, enhancements, and integrations with other council systems.
* Troubleshoot issues and liaise with IT and suppliers.
* Document processes and provide knowledge transfer to teams.
Key Skills And Experience
* Hands‑on experience with NEC Housing in Local Authority or Housing Association settings.
* Strong understanding of housing processes (Rents, Allocations, Repairs, Tenancy Management).
* Experience with system improvements, upgrades, or digital transformation.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
