Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Healthcare Assistant to provide overnight support in a waking night capacity. This role involves supporting a client with specific care needs in their home, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the night.. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to a female client with cognitive decline, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and a commitment to delivering personalised care plan for the client.
Responsibilities
* Assist client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Implement and follow care plan tailored to the specific needs of each resident.
* Maintain accurate records of clients' progress and report any changes in their condition to the manager.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to the client, fostering a positive environment.
* Ensure cleanliness and safety within the home, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
* Utilise digital system for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Experience
* Previous experience in a home care setting is desirable
* A strong command of English is required for effective communication with client and staff.
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
* Proficiency in IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes is an advantage.
