A Vacancy at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. We are keen to attract Clinical Support Workers who are looking for new challenges and opportunities. In Critical Care, support workers are often referred to as Critical Care Technicians. Our unit is a dynamic and busy environment, receiving patients from the Emergency Department, wards, and surgical theatres. You will have the opportunity to care for a diverse group of patients across the ICU, HDU, and Level 1 Enhanced Care Unit.
Responsibilities
* Support the clinical team and maintain the environment of the unit.
* Contribute fully as a member of the Critical Care team to ensure the smooth running of the ICU, HDU, and Level 1 unit.
* Carry out delegated clinical procedures such as insertion and removal of cannulas, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings, and removal of urinary catheters.
* Receive full training for these procedures.
Qualifications
* Minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent (Functional Skills).
* Care Certificate and/or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualifications.
* Experience as a Clinical Support Worker preferred; hospital experience desirable but not essential.
