To support the organisation’s growth, we havecreated a new opportunity for an Audit & Accounts Trainee to join our BasingstokeCompliance team. This position also includes acomprehensive induction and full funding to pursue professional qualifications.
The Role:
Thisis a trainee position which includes full training and support in order todevelop your skills and abilities for a long-term career within our practice. Whilstyou will have a mixture of both audit and accounts work, the position will beprimarily accounts focused. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Buildingproductive working relationships within Shaw Gibbs and with clients as required
* Developingand applying your technical knowledge through on the job training and formalqualifications
* Assistingmore senior members of staff on audit to include, for example, checking bankreconciliations, attending at stock takes, preparing profit and loss schedulesand assisting with the audit of debtors and creditors

About You:
There are two routes to enter our trainingprogramme. You may apply afterA-Levels (A,B,B) or equivalent qualifications. Alternatively we welcomeapplications from university students who have achieved or are predicted a 2:1or above. We also look for the following:
* You must have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 5 or above
* Fully fluent in English with provencommunication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong IT skills, specificallyExcel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
* Exceptional attention to detail
* A positive, confident andproactive attitude
* Enjoy working as part of a teamand self-motivated
* Relevantwork experience and/or experience of working within a practice environmentwould be great but not essential
