We have registered our first brand-new 2-bedded children's home near Goole, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is an exciting opportunity to be able to support the care team and help create a safe, nurturing home from day one.
Role Overview
As a Casual Residential Support Worker, you'll play a key role in supporting children to feel safe, valued, and empowered. You'll work closely with a small, dedicated team to build strong, trusting relationships and promote positive outcomes for each young person.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day care, support, and guidance for young people aged 8–18.
* Promote emotional resilience using trauma-informed approaches.
* Support daily routines, activities, education, and appointments.
* Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to care planning.
* Safeguard and advocate for young people in line with OFSTED standards.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals.
Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – or willingness to work towards it.
* Previous experience in residential childcare (preferred but not essential).
* A nurturing, resilient, and patient approach to working with young people.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding and professional practice.
What We Offer
* Salary: Hourly rate paid with an enhanced rate for casual work to include holiday pay allowances and dependent on experience and qualifications. This will also include some sleep in's where additional payment will be made.
