POST: Examinations & Data Officer
LOCATION: Shireland Biomedical UTC, 350 High St, West Bromwich, B70 8DJ
SALARY: Band E SCP 18 – 25 £31,537 - £36,363 per annum pro rata (Actual Salary £28,868 - £33,565 per annum)
HOURS: 37 hours per week, Term Time + 2 weeks (4 days in August to coincide with examination results)
The Academy
We are excited and proud to be the first UTC in the UK to specialise in health care and health science. Based in central West Bromwich we aim to provide an outstanding provision for the children we serve. We opened our doors to the first ever year 7 cohort in September 2022 and will continue to do so until we are full. From September 2025 we will have years 7,8, 9, 10,12 and 13. Shireland Biomedical UTC are looking for an Exams and Data Officer to lead on administration arrangements for external and internal examinations and to ensure the examination process is managed in an efficient manner ensuring all relevant regulations and guidance is followed. The person will also manage the arrangements for data collection in the Academy, including assessment data and reports.
Applicants must have excellent ICT skills and attention to detail and be able to work to strict deadlines. A flexible approach to the working day is essential to meet the demands of the role during busy examination periods.

Key Responsibilities:
* Organising and overseeing all internal and external examinations (e.g., GCSEs, mocks, functional skills).
* Registering students for the appropriate exam entries.
* Ensuring that all exams are conducted in line with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations and awarding body requirements.
* Supporting with exam data management
This role offers the potential to evolve into a long-term position with a focus on strategic whole school data management alongside examinations. This opportunity can be explored further during the interview process.
